Making Videos with Hyperframes and Claude

Few months ago, I was trying to make shortform videos. I was particularly looking for a way to automate the video creation so I can easily edit and publish.

First, I tried my hands on Remotion. I loved how beautiful the videos were but sometimes text alignment would be off or my own media not used correctly.

I spent a lot of time and tokens. In the end, I was able to create several skills and they were pretty decent.

During this time, some of my colleagues recommended Hyperframes. However, I was already quite invested in Remotion.

I got busy with routine tasks for next few months. Then recently, I came back from vacations with a fresh mind and decided to take another look at Hyperframes.

What I liked about Hyperframes is that it is built using CSS/HTML while Remotion uses React. This affects rendering and processing time. So making a video with Hyperframes takes less time than Remotion.

Another big difference is that Hyperframes is designed from ground up with agent skills in mind. This works extremely well with Claude code, which is able to quickly pickup those skills and get started immediately.

Getting started with Hyperframes was much easier. I believe it is more beginner friendly than Remotion.

I had a lot of media already saved as brand packs for remotion. Claude was able to pick them as is and reuse with Hyperframes.

1. Explainer faceless video

Fifteen readers asked us the same question in the WPBeginner comments, so we answered it in a video.

The plugin count does not slow your site down. The weight of each plugin does, because a plugin is just code.

2. Explainer Selfie Video

So here is the pipleline. I find the content I want to make video around. Then I generate a script and then edit it basically humanize and give the script my own voice.

Then I read the script shooting myself in the selfie mode. It usually takes a few tries to get a version I like.

Then finally I put all of it in a folder and ask claude to make the video.

Obviously, I am not great at shooting selfie videos, I will try to find some tips on how to quickly shoot such videos in a presentable way without looking awkward.
