About Nouman

From Geocities to Generative AI

I have been living on the internet since 2001.

Internet in early 2000s

Back then, what hooked me wasn’t just the technology—it was the power to tell stories to a global audience. My journey began with tinkering on Geocities, evolved into blogging with Movable Type, and eventually found its home in WordPress.

In 2012, I joined WPBeginner (Awesome Motive). For the last 13 years, I have been part of a team helping millions of people build their own presence on the web, writing thousands of guides to help users succeed.

Why “Nouman Labs”?

While much of the world looks at AI with fear that it will replace jobs, I look at it with the exact same excitement I felt when I first logged on in 2001.

We are witnessing a democratization of creativity.

Now that we have tools to generate text, code, images, video, and audio for pennies, the barrier to entry for storytelling has shattered. I am excited about all the new stories that can be told now.

Nouman Labs is where I record my experiments with AI, automation, and programming. It is my personal R&D facility where I explore how code can amplify creativity.

Current Experiments

I am currently focused on bridging the gap between editorial strategy and software engineering:

  • AI Orchestration: Using LLMs to clean syntax, format data, and structure content.
  • Workflow Automation: Building tools that save teams hundreds of hours (like bulk image processors and syntax cleaners).
  • The Modern Stack: Experimenting with Python, Docker, Traefik, and the WordPress REST API.

I believe the best content creators of the future won’t just be writers—they will be architects of content systems. This is where I learn to be one.
